I am pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Willis joining in September as Joint Managing Director of the Kexgill Group.
Stephen brings with him an outstanding track record of leadership and strategic insight. He has previously held senior roles as Chief Financial Officer at Durham University, the University of Hull, and Leeds Beckett University, and currently serves as Chair of Unipol Student Homes. His significant experience in developing and delivering student accommodation through university and private company partnerships, makes him exceptionally well-placed to help guide the Group through its next chapter.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Stephen on a number of partnership initiatives over the past decade and know firsthand the value he brings. His appointment reflects both the importance of the role and the ambitions we have for the future of the Group.
Now approaching our 50th year of operations across the UK and Germany, the private Kexgill Group continues to evolve in response to the rapidly changing student accommodation landscape. As the sector shifts, our ability to adapt and innovate remains vital.
This strategic appointment marks a bold step forward. With Stephen on board, our commitment to partnerships, affordability, and building vibrant student communities is stronger than ever. UK universities and HE students are facing significant financial challenges at this time and Kexgill trading as University Quarter (UQ)) is extremely well-placed and highly motivated to work in partnership with them to overcome those challenges.
