Hull itself also has plenty to offer and for the year 2017 we are Britain’s ‘City of Culture’ that has paved the way for exciting plans and multi millions pound investments in the city. Hull has a bustling student community and an excellent nightlife. The best hang-outs are in and around Newland Avenue with a mix of traditional and stylish bars, restaurants and coffee houses all on offer. Away from the high street, there are plenty of other activities to soak up. The Ferens Art Gallery offers a peaceful retreat into the world of Art including both modern and contemporary Art, whilst the world-famous aquarium ‘The Deep’ complete with sharks, is centrally located. It’s a spectacular array of marine life.
Hull also has excellent transport links, with a regular train and bus network. So if you fancy shopping or seeing a live gig away from the city, Manchester and Sheffield are both within a short train ride. If that is not your scene, then the seaside resorts of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby with their beautiful coastline are truly a sight to see!
